Diddly squat

I’ve been feeling under the weather over the past few days, so my workouts have been pretty blah. Oddly enough, I feel much better at the gym than I do while I’m sitting at my desk at work. I guess that’s because I’m used to feeling bad at the gym? 😉

Today, I split my workout into three segments to make the time go by faster and because I wanted to get some cross-training in along with my run. I did three sets of a 1.5-mile run followed by a 1,000-meter row. I really wanted to stop after two sets, but pushed myself to complete the third. I felt pretty wiped out by the time I finished!

Run 1.5 @7.1 mph + 1,000-meter row
Run 1.5 @7.7 mph + 1,000-meter row
Run 1.5 @8.1 mph + 1,000-meter row

The best part about this workout was the pizza I had when I got home. YUM!

While I was at the gym, I pondered the Holiday Rowing Challenge and finally signed up. I haven’t decided which “distance” I’m going to do, yet – 50k, 100k, or 200k. I think either distance would be a challenge, but I’ll need to check my schedule first to make sure I’m not getting in over my head!
