11 chilly miles

It’s been about a month since my last “long” run, so I know I’m overdue. It felt amazing outside! Nice and chilly. I left my RunKeeper at home and, without the updates every five minutes, this run flew by. 🙂

I tried to pick up the pace during the last mile. My average pace was 8:41 for the first ten miles, so I ran the last mile in 7:51. It was super chilly, so that helped! I wanted to get home and take a long, hot shower.

I’m a little nervous about my half marathon in two weeks. It’s a trail run, so I’m not expecting a PR, but I hope my legs can handle 13.1 miles of hills! It’s going to be tough.
